Refund and Returns Policy

At Update Avenue, we aim to provide high-quality fashion and a smooth shopping experience. This Refund & Return Policy explains the conditions under which returns, refunds, and exchanges are accepted.


1. Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be requested for return within 7 days of delivery
  • The item must be unused, unworn, and in original condition
  • All original packaging, tags, and accessories must be included
  • Proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt) is required

Items that do not meet these conditions may not be accepted for return.


2. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Items that have been worn, washed, or damaged by the customer
  • Clearance or discounted items (if marked as final sale)
  • Items returned without original packaging or tags
  • Customized or special-order items

3. Refund Process

Once your return is received and inspected:

  • You will receive an email notification confirming approval or rejection of your refund
  • If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method
  • Refund processing time may take 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider

4. Exchanges

We only replace items if they are:

  • Defective or damaged upon arrival
  • Wrong item delivered

If you need an exchange, contact us immediately at our support email with photos of the item.


5. Shipping Costs for Returns

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or incorrect
  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable
  • If a refund is approved, return shipping cost may be deducted from the refund (where applicable)

6. Order Cancellation

  • Orders can only be cancelled within 12 hours of purchase
  • After processing or shipping begins, cancellation is no longer possible

7. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund yet:

  • Check your bank account again
  • Contact your credit card provider (processing may take time)
  • Contact your bank (there is often processing delay)

8. Chargebacks & Disputes

We encourage customers to contact us first before opening a dispute or chargeback. Most issues can be resolved quickly through our support team.
